About me...

Lucy’s Pups N Paws provides a dog walking and pet sitting service in Gloucester and surrounding areas.

Providing clients with peace of mind that a professional and experienced person is looking after your pets when you are unable to due to holidays, work commitments or illness.

Animals have always been a huge part of my love for life and my family. I have always wanted to have my own business doing something I love and enjoy greatly.

Being the owner of two horses, a cat and two dogs I have a real understanding of how sometimes life can be very hectic with a feeling that you can't quite fit it all in. Let me help you out with that!

I am very flexible with the hours that I can work and am competitively priced. I have many years experienced with a variety of animals. I am DBS/CRB checked, am fully insured and hold a certificate in dog first aid.

Testimonials

"Thank you Lucy for looking after Sultan, in his home environment, whilst we were on holiday.   It gave us tremendous peace of mind & it was very evident on our return to a very happy dog how well he had been looked after, particularly considering his age & current health conditions."

"Lucy has been fantastic from the very start!

After my Husband ceased to be Self-Employed we needed assistance with our two girls.  After 2 days with another Dog Walker, who ran a Doggy Day Care service as well, we were let down at short notice, as our anxious Collie-x barked too much at all the visitors.  In hindsight we had chosen the wrong placement and person.  Therefore, our next step was to speak to a Dog Behaviourist and Lucy was recommended to us.  Her knowledge and passion has been a blessing for us all.  Even after the last walker, Lucy has managed to reassure and settled me (anxious parent-x) through daily communication and her caring attitude. I not only trust her 100% but I am thrilled with the way she has not only walked them, but worked hard to continue to train them both as well.  Our Labrador (15 months) is endearing and easy, however, Myfi (anxious Collie-x) can be testing and it has been a 2 year journey to get her to where we are now.  Lucy saw her loving nature straight away and wanted to help her through her anxious behaviours.  She introduced us to whistle training, as well as being consistent in all the other training techniques we use.  This has proved to be very successful and it makes me happy to see the way Myfi responds to it.  The icing on the cake, however, was when I was off work ill.  Lucy had only been walking Myfi and Ethel for a week, but when she opened the door and the initial barks turned to recognition, they were absolutely thrilled to see her.  They did their ‘love me more/ first’ dances/ side-bashes to be close to her.  Ethel, bless her, is easily pleased, but to have this effect on Myfi’s heart so quickly (especially as she has a protective issue over me) was a sure-stamp."

“I first met Lucy in September when she visited me and my dog Kym, with a view to Lucy being able to take Kym out twice a week for a really good run and the exercise needed for my energetic, young Labradoodle. I had recently been incapacitated and was unable to walk the distance my dog needed to keep her fit and happy so I phoned Lucy.

Lucy is a happy, confident and knowledgeable, fit young woman who has a great love of dogs.  My dog Kym took to her straight away and a last relationship that has developed.  Lucy is a good pack leader, confident with her dogs and one-to-one walk before new dogs join her pack and caters for individual requirements. Lucy uses the whistle and my dog is learning to respond. My dog is a 3 year old energetic bitch, is quite fast and a good hunter.  By going out with Lucy she has become more confident and happy because of the different walks and places Lucy takes her too.  I’m happy that my dog is safe when with Lucy. “
